Education — FAQ
Do you record children's biometrics?
Not in the systems we install today. Our current education deployments cover staff, contractors and visitors only, and pupil attendance stays in your school management system. We are separately developing an AI camera product that recognises students at the gate and notifies parents on arrival — that does process children's biometric data, and it is not available to order yet. When it launches it will require a lawful basis, documented parental consent, a retention policy and sign-off from your school authority before we deploy it. Can the system handle term dates and school holidays?
Yes. The academic calendar is configured with term dates, holidays and INSET days so that non-working periods are not reported as absence, and staff on different contract types are treated correctly.
Can we manage parent and visitor entry with the same system?
Yes. Visitors are registered at reception with a photo and issued a time-limited pass. The live on-campus roster then covers staff, contractors and visitors together, which is what safeguarding leads generally want to see.
