Privacy & biometric data notice

What this website collects

When you submit an enquiry form we collect your name, company, phone number, email address, emirate, headcount band and requirement, plus anything you type into the message field. We also record which page the form was submitted from and any campaign parameters in the link you arrived through, so we know which pages produce enquiries.

This information is sent to our sales team by email through Brevo, our transactional email provider. We do not store website enquiries in a database. The record of your enquiry exists in our email system and in Brevo's sending logs, subject to their retention periods.

What we use it for

Solely to respond to your enquiry — to call you back, arrange a site survey and send you a quotation. We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a marketing list on the strength of an enquiry form.

Biometric data in the systems we install

This is a separate matter from the website, and the most common question we are asked. Modern biometric terminals do not store a fingerprint image or a photograph of your employees. They store an irreversible mathematical template derived from the biometric — the original cannot be reconstructed from it. This materially reduces your exposure and is worth stating clearly to staff during rollout, because it is both true and reassuring.

Under UAE data protection law biometric data is treated as sensitive personal data, which requires a lawful basis for processing, notice to employees and appropriate security measures. We provide a template employee notice at handover, and where you need biometric templates to remain on your own hardware we deploy the software on-premise so that nothing leaves your building.

As the employer you are the controller of your employees' biometric data. For a binding view on your specific obligations — including retention periods and consent mechanics — take advice from a qualified UAE data protection or employment adviser. Nothing on this page is legal advice.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses your browser's session storage to remember which campaign link you arrived through, so that attribution survives if you browse several pages before enquiring. That data stays in your browser until you close the tab and is only transmitted if you submit a form.

Your rights and contact

To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete your enquiry, email info@biometricdevice.ae or call +971 56 614 2543. Because enquiries live in email rather than a database, deletion means removing the correspondence from our mail system.
