  • Reads 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz cards: EM, MIFARE, MIFARE Plus, DESFire, FeliCa, plus HID Prox and iCLASS on APB/OAPB
  • Fingerprint sensor with live finger detection on the ODPB and OAPB versions (5,000 template matches per second)
  • QR and barcode reading through the built-in camera, and NFC/BLE mobile credentials
  • 500,000 users, 5,000,000 text logs and 50,000 image logs
  • PoE, RS-485, Wiegand, TTL inputs and relay for easy installation
  • IP65 dust-tight and water-resistant

Offices and sites moving from cards to biometrics in stages — one terminal model covers card-only doors now and fingerprint doors where they are needed.

Where it is the wrong choice

Fingerprint is only on the XS2-ODPB and XS2-OAPB. Camera QR authentication needs a separate device licence, and HID cards need an 'A' version.

How does the Suprema X-Station 2 connect?

It supports Ethernet, RS-485 (OSDP V2), Wiegand, PoE, USB host. In UAE installations we normally run terminals on wired Ethernet, keeping wireless as the fallback where cabling is impractical.

What software runs the Suprema X-Station 2?

It works with Suprema's BioStar X security platform. We connect the attendance data through to payroll and produce a WPS-ready export, so punches become a payable file rather than a report someone has to retype.
